Thank you! Thanks to the generous support of our JCOC partners, 289 struggling households received Thanksgiving Food Baskets last week! We were able to surpass the original goal of 200 baskets and give everyone on our waitlist a basket too. We are truly grateful for everyone who helped make this possible.
We are gearing up for our Christmas Food Basket Distribution in just two-and-a-half weeks! There are already 200 households signed up, with a waitlist of 20 that is growing daily. The need remains great for individuals and families in our community who are facing food insecurity. How many families will you help this Christmas?
$15 provides non-perishable food items for one family.
$30 provides a holiday basket, complete with a turkey or ham for one family.
$50 provides non-perishable food items for three families.
$100 provides a holiday basket, complete with a turkey or ham for three families.
Together, we can make sure no one goes without a meal, or hope, this Christmas. Please give online, or help fill a food basket by donating the following items:
Mashed/Scalloped Potatoes (bag/boxed)
Stuffing Mix (bag/boxed)
Gravy (packet/canned)
Green Beans (canned)
Cream of Mushroom Soup (canned)
Sweet Potatoes/Yams (canned)
Cranberry Sauce (canned)
Dessert Mix (bag/boxed)
Turkey and Ham Donation Notice: Due to limited storage space at our temporary food pantry location, JCOC can only accept the non-perishable food items listed above. If you want to donate a turkey or ham, please make a monetary donation. The needed quantity of meat will be purchased closer to the basket distribution dates.

1. Scheduling a Donation Drop-Off
Call (757) 491-2846 or email jcoc@jcoc.org to arrange a time to deliver your donation.
Appointments are required to ensure staff are available to receive your items.
2. Making an Online Donation
Visit jcoc.org and select the campaign “Hope for the Holidays.”
To ensure baskets reach families in time for Christmas, please send your donations by December 12th!
