Be a part of the solution and help stop local hunger and homelessness on Friday, October 18, 2019! Each week JCOC helps hundreds of hungry and homeless men, women and children in Virginia Beach. Community Dinner is open to everyone 365 days of the year.

You’re invited to come celebrate JCOC’s 33rd Anniversary at its annual Black & White Gala.

Evening Includes:

  • 6 PM Cocktail Hour and Silent Auction bidding (50+ fabulous items to bid on.)
  • 7 PM a sit-down dinner and music; powerful success story from JCOC client; Live Auction; special speaker (will announce soon); JCOC’s campus rebuild update; and more!

    Jimmy Ray Dunn

    Jimmy Ray Dunn is a well-loved and seasoned Hampton Roads radio personality. This Navy brat and Lake Taylor High School graduate loves all things radio. He applied to work at WNOR AM 1230 at just 13-years-old! Jimmy joined FM-99 in 1983 doing the Reeger and The Bull and Jimmy and The Bull shows. Radio fans of 97.3 The Eagle spent their morning drive with Jimmy for an amazing 24 years – Jimmy Ray and Jay, and Jimmy Ray and Jen. His favorite events to be a part of while at 97.3 The Eagle include the Annual St Valentine’s Day Mass Wedding, St. Jude Radiothon, and Eagle March Of Dimes Walk from Williamsburg to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

    In 2015, Jimmy started his own live webcast country station called JimmyRaydio.com and began working with Chantel Ray Real Estate as an agent.

    The third of five brothers, Jimmy and his wife Julia enjoy spending time with their four adult daughters, one young son, two grandchildren, and their dog Bear.


    Lisa Olson

    Lisa Olson has learned to face life’s obstacles without having arms and legs. Nevertheless, the Lord’s divine hand has been very evident, from her birth and rescue by a Christian Doctor in India, to her adoption by an American Missionary and life in the U.S.

    Lisa earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, from Lee College, and a Master’s degree in Journalism from Regent University. Lisa established Manyata Ministries in January 2013. The ministry’s mission is to deliver God’s message of acceptance and love to the nations. She speaks to various groups and appears in the media to share her remarkable life story. Lisa’s life is an amazing example of how God has a purpose for each of us.
